Rob Samtmann has been active in commercial real estate as a Tenant Representation Broker or Landlord Representation Broker in the Philadelphia Metropolitan Area since 1995 and is a managing Principal with Equity Retail Brokers. He has been with the company since 1997 when he started as a property manager. Rob now focuses on retail tenant and landlord representation.
In Rob’s career at Equity Retail Brokers, Rob has been fortunate to work with retailers including Gander Mountain, Shop Rite Supermarkets, Shoe Carnival, BJ’s Wholesale Club, Babies R Us/Toys R Us, Lowe’s Home Improvement, Starbucks, Friday’s, Party City, Pep Boys, Firestone, FedEx, Movie Tavern, Pittsburgh Paints, Quaker Steak & Lube, Wendy’s, Wells Fargo, Travinia, Rite Aid, Empire Beauty, Arby’s, PNC Bank, Penn Liberty Bank, Verizon Wireless, Pet Valu, Pet Supplies Plus, Lou Lou Boutique, Primrose Schools, Red Robin, Lime Fresh, Outback Steakhouse, Ruby Tuesday, TGI Friday’s, STS Tire, Noah’s, and Kindercare.
He is currently Co-Chair of the Box Council for the Retail Brokers Network. The Box Council is a group of retail brokers that stretches across the country specializing in providing tenant representation services for anchor tenants in excess of 20,000 square feet. This group has also worked together to provide consolidated and coordinated tenant representation services for a number of retailers, a few of which include Home Goods, T.J. Maxx, Marshall’s, A.J. Wright, Staples, Babies R Us/Toys R Us, Kohl’s, and Party City.
Some of Rob’s landlord representation clients include Kimco, RREEF (pension fund advisor), AEW (pension fund advisor), Steve Guttman (former President of Federal Realty), Audubon Land Development, Pineview Properties, The Dreher Group (shopping center developer), CW Capital Asset Management, Super Valu, Excess Space, and Pathmark Supermarkets.
Rob believes it is as imperative to work as well with the outside brokerage community as it is with the brokers in his own office. He holds his clients and the respective relationships in very high regard as he has grown to develop many friends in the business and believes these friendships are integral to a long and successful career.
Rob received a B.A. degree in Accounting at Bloomsburg University and a Masters Degree in Business Administration at LaSalle University.
