Former Clifton Yarn Mill in Clifton Heights, PA Sold, Self-Storage Facility Planned

Plymouth Meeting, PA, March 5, 2019 – Anthony Curcio of Equity Retail Brokers recently brokered the sale of the former Clifton Yarn Mill in Clifton Heights, PA to a company that plans to open an 80,000 square foot Self Storage Facility.

The sale took place on January 31.

In November 2018, the borough council in Clifton Heights voted 7 to 1 in favor of approving the site plan for Beyond Self Store (BSS) to build a three-story, climate-controlled self-storage facility at 546 E. Baltimore Avenue. The favorable vote was obtained after BSS modified their plan to accommodate storm water by connecting the store sewer line embedded in Washington Street, along with a written promise not to build anything on the land directly in front of the new facility.

Several years ago the Clifton Yarn Mills operated on the property, with buildings that were constructed in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The buildings have been vacant for nearly 30 years.

The self-storage facility represents the first major commercial development in the borough in nearly 40 years.
