David Goodman

Principal

David’s unique and diverse background has proven to be a great asset to Equity Retail Brokers and its clients. In addition to being a senior communications and marketing executive in the sports and finance industries, David has served as the chief executive for non-profit, not-for-profit and for-profit organizations. At 29 years old he was named executive director of USTA/Eastern, Inc., which made him the youngest chief executive to ever lead a section of the U.S. Tennis Association. Three years later he co-founded The Tennis Network and served as the company’s CEO.

In 2001 David moved to Philadelphia from New York, and after serving as executive director of Arthur Ashe Youth Tennis and Education, he became the Vice President of Communications for Advanta Corp., a publicly traded financial institution in suburban Philadelphia.

David is a professional emcee, an active volunteer for the United States Tennis Association’s Middle States section, and a member of the Lower Salford Township (PA) Planning Commission.

A 1989 graduate of Bryant University in Rhode Island, David is best known for his ability to develop and maintain strong relationships. As a result, he has an excellent network of colleagues and friends in a variety of industries and organizations.

At Equity Retail Brokers, David leases several high quality shopping centers, represents select retail clients and works with a number of regional banks. He is known for his expertise in the grocery industry, and his blog – Running with Equity Retail – is read by industry professionals and shopping center owners. David is a member of the planning committee for the annual PA/NJ/DE International Council of Shopping Centers conference, and an active member of the Retail Brokers Network.

David is a real estate agent licensed in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. His proudest moments take place daily, as he watches his two daughters explore and learn about the world.
